Identity Theft Protection
IBCM is serious about security and protecting your personal information. We handle your financial information with great care and want to provide you with information to help you protect yourself from harm, like identity theft.
Identity theft occurs when someone pretends to be you by somehow getting ahold of your personal information, like your Social Security number, date of birth or passwords, to pass themselves off as you. This can lead to bank accounts, credit cards and loans opened in your name.
If you received a IBCM card in the mail, please know the card you received is not a credit product and your credit report was not accessed to open the account. The account does not impact your credit history; however, if it appears your personal information has been compromised, if you have not already done so, you may want to contact the credit reporting agencies to report suspected identity theft and ensure additional financial products have not been and/or will not be opened using your personal information.
If you suspect identity theft with a IBCM account or are receiving IBCM texts or emails and you don’t have an account, let us know by clicking the button below.
